HCG Question of the Day – Fat Release Tricks

Question – TOM arrived (time of the month) and  I am experiencing water weight gain 🙁
If you have any suggestions that aren’t currently on your vlogs.. let me know cause I’m ready to be a rebel.. LOL

Answer – My goodness all the tricks I’ve tried, maybe I should put together a montage vlog.
For water weight  an apple day is a natural diuretic. You just have to be sure to limit your water intake the day you do the apples.

When on P2 I have liked doing mini steak days. All that is 4 oz steak and 1 apple for the day.
I also have done the fat fast which can be a few different foods but for me is only mac nuts. I divide up 5 one ounce bags for the day. Another trick I tried but didn’t get a chance to do it till I was done with P2 was the Mug Cake and Steak Day.
Many hcger’s have experimented with the later when on P2 and strangely enough experienced great fat releases even though it doesn’t seem to make sense. With all of these I have found that you need to be very strict on protocol or clean eating after these tricks or the release will be short lived.

Lunch: 100 grams of sirloin
Dinner: 100 grams of sirloin + Mac Mug Cake (recipe below)
Don’t forget to drink all of your water!

The recipe I preferred –
Mug Cake
1/2 oz Mac nuts ( ground)
1 tbsp coco powder
2 pkt stevia
3 tbsp heavy cream
1 tbsp coconut oil melted
And 1 egg


Mix it together and cook for about 60 sec.

Another Variation –
1/2 oz. of macadamia nuts (or 6 whole nuts), ground into a flour consistency
1/2 Tbl. dark cocoa
1/2 Tbl. cocoa
1-1/2 Tbl. xylitol
2 packets of Splenda for coffee, vanilla flavor (in the coffee aisle,optional)
1 egg
3 Tbl. heavy cream
1 Tbl. coconut oil
1 capful of s/f flavored syrup, Davinci or Torani (optional)
Fat-free Reddy Whip (topping, optional)

In a coffee mug, combine ground mac nuts, cocoas, xylitol, and splenda. Add one egg and mix well with a fork. Add cream and syrup and stir. Last, add coconut oil. If it clumps, break it up with a fork.

Microwave on high for 90 seconds. Some people had to microwave up to 2 more minutes. Let cool for a few minutes.

Top with fat-free Reddy Whip or any whipped cream around 10 calories per serving.

    What are you talking about when you say “releases?” If I make the brownies or truffle or butter and consume them while on the diet am I cheating?

      Hi Heather,

      “Releases” is the fat loss. It is based on the terminology in the pounds and inches manuscript. All the goodies you named off can go either way for a HCGers. Some find that a little of it helps them release others say it causes stalls or gains. The best bet if you decide to try them is journal what you have and how much and then the outcome the next day. Then you will know if your body responds positively or negatively to them.

    Thanks for all your help! I’m using alot of your suggestions and feeling great. I want to know if you continue with drinking lots of water, coffee and doing the msm/acv shots when you do the fat fast.

      Hi Lorraine,
      I usually don’t feel a need to do a acv/msm shot during a fat fast. though if i did I think it would be fine. I do still drink one cali kicker per day. To get my msm in I usually just swig it straight. But yes to lots of water. I learned the hard way and didn’t drink enough water yesterday on my day one for this week. I still released 1.3 lbs but I have dropped over 3 lbs in one day. Another thing I did wrong was i didn’t eat all the measured out nuts. Today my goal is to correct those 2 flaws.

    Hi I was wondering if you can use alomond flour and coconut oil instead of mac nuts for this recipe? Do you just eat a steak and the mug cake for lunch and dinner? I am a newbie so needing as much help as i can get. Thanks so much Dixie:)

      Hi Dixie,
      I don’t know why I didn’t see this question sooner…so sorry!
      I have only tried the mug cake combo how it is explained so I can’t advise on variations.But since the mac nuts are ground in into flour consistency the only thing lacking is the type of fat that you get from the mac nut and the MCT advantage. I did a post about the benefits of MCT if you want to look at that. back to the almond idea, sometimes you just have to try it and see what happens for you. You know what they say “every body is different”.

    I’ve just re read for the 100 th time your Mac nut fast and I thought, well girl what are you waiting for I have a lovely bag of salted Mac nuts so I measured out exactly 5 one ounce bags of them and I’m in my way to a 3 day ff of Mac nuts, and I will have double he water intake I usually do 2 ltrs plus many cups of green tea, I’m going to drink 4 ltrs of water today and my usual green tea, il let you know my report of releases tomorrow morning. Yay I’m excited

    I am so inspired by your vlogs. I started watching them before I went on HCG and continue to watch them while on the protocol. I started my VLCD on 11/19 and lost 7.2 pounds by 11/23. Today (VLCD8), I didn’t lose any weight or gain any weight. I am starting an apple day today since I am a vegetarian. Any suggestions?

      Hi and sorry I didn’t reply sooner!
      How did the apple day go? The thing about apple day is it is more for your mind to see the numbers on the scale to go down from losing water weight(Apples are a natural diuretic). Your releases have been awesome plus don’t forget the protocol is called pounds and inches because the days the scale seems to slow you are probably shrinking in inches. How is your water intake and have you tried the cali kicker yet?. Catch me up to speed so I can help further.

    Thanks Colleen. I only made it through half a apple day and needed protein by dinner time. I did have a great release though the next day. Now I am on VLCD20, and I am down 17.4 pounds. My doctor is amazed since a lot of her vegetarian clients haven’t lost that quickly. I can’t wait to see how I end up on day 43. Thanks so much for your vlogs. I go to them often to stay inspired. I am going to try the Mac Nut day if I have another stall. You rock!
