HCG – How to Begin Phase 3
How to Have a Successful Phase 3
Questions – I am so scared, I start Phase 3 tomorrow. I’ve done my 3 days without HCG. I’ve been reading and checking out different recipes for this phase.
How do I figure the amount of protein to eat? Someone said just double the amount that I’ve been eating. I want to make sure that I get the correct amount. I know I have to start slowly introducing foods. Is 1500 calories the minimum daily caloric intake or do I start by 1st week: 800, then go to 1000 on the 2nd week, then go to the full amount of calories 1400/1500? How much fruit do I eat per day?
My Answer:
The very first Phase 3 can be intimidating!
My first Phase 3 went very wrong because I got too caught up in wanting to try all the great recipes I saw people making on Phase 3.
On my very first day I added so many different foods that those on Phase 3 had been talking about. Open face tuna sandwich using Ezekiel bread with cheddar cheese, I baked a phase 3 friendly cookie recipe. It has been so long now since that time it is hard to remember what else I slammed my poor body with.
So what I found out the hard way about Phase 3 is this….Don’t slam your system with everything at once even if it says it is P3 friendly.
Doubling the protein is fine, especially if your body type craves protein.
Just go very SLOW with adding back in the starches and sugars. I can not emphasis this enough. Journal as you add so you can pinpoint if there is a food that you are sensitive to at first. Go easy on everything you reintroduce and keep tabs on what you are adding and what activity you are doing..
Think Low Glycemic:
When it comes to fruit (at first), Iâd say 2 maybe 3 servings the first day and see how your body responded.
I admit I have never counted calories just what types of food I eat and my activity level. Then I figure out between the two what the outcome will be. As long as you go slow and stick with healthy choices you are on the right track.
And for now be cautious with anything bread or pasta like. Example – If it makes you feel full (bloated) or lethargic.
I say âfor nowâ because I donât want you to think the foods I say to use caution with is a âneverâ.
But I canât stress enough how slow introduction will help lock in your effort so you can keep the new you and enjoy what you choose to eat in the future.
If you feel better with counting calories – go for it. The plan you laid out looks like a pretty good one as long as you keep tabs on what you take in and how your body reacts so you can adjust accordingly
Easy does it – That’s my motto!
How Much Weight Will I Lose on HCG?
Setting Your Weight Loss Goal
Faith Means Acting Before Knowing
-Romans 1:17
Can you tell I’m up for a pep talk again!
Here is the thing, I have had so many people write and ask me questions and with the question they ask they usually comment that they donât think they can get to a certain weight or goal.
I did the very same thing when I started my HCG journey. I didnât set my goal to the   lowest adult weight I had been in the past. Quite frankly I did not think an amount lower than the goal I first set for this journey would be attainable.
But as I was watching other HCGers vlogs and I was seeing their success I would comment to congratulate them and acknowledge how great they were doing. They would many times comment back that what they were achieving would be mine too. I remember writing back saying things like, ââwell I donât know about that, or I can only dream to be that smallâ.
But the Good news was that I had faith enough to get into action and start my journey.
Even though I ended up blowing right by my original goal if I had not set some sort of goal and got started I would never have gotten to the easy part! What is that you might ask, adjusting my goal weight to a lower number in both clothing size and scale number!
Trust me, as you move along through your journey each successful day will be also building your faith in what you have and Can achieve!
Instead of doubting what you can do on protocol embrace the fact that it will get you where you want to go. Shoot, maybe even in waters you have never been in.
To this day I am completely floored that not only did the protocol make me smaller than I had ever been but now my body canât be comfortable any other way.
When I was overweight and I would read that a naturally thin person will stop eating when satisfied (not full) I remember thinking, âHow do they do that when something tastes so good?â Now my mindset is the opposite. As good as something might taste it can wait until the time when I need to eat again. I simply canât eat just to eat. This is completely opposite of how I grew up so having a habit like that take a total 180 is a God send!
HCG – Load Days
Do I HAVE to LOAD to do the HCG Protocol?
Lets Talk about the Art of Loading!
When I was first learning about Dr. Simeons protocol one of the steps that sounded pretty cool was the âload daysâ. I think anyone that is first starting canât help but think this should be fun.
Well it is not as fun as you would think, but this is why you do it.
Dr Simeons explained in Pounds & Inches that basically you need to stock up your normal fat reserve.
It makes sense that if you will be going on a low calorie diet and you are told you should âstock upâ on some fattening food. You might as well pick the foods that you might miss while you are on the protocol round. But besides that you want to make sure you add in fats that help your body want to release fat more easily.
Of course if you are going to load or as some others refer the two days as âgorge daysâ.
You are going to see the scale numbers go up instead of down. This can be a little disconcerting to someone starting. But as soon as you are into your first week and you see that not only the load weight came right off put you are also releasing very nicely the concern of the initial quick gain is gone as quick as it came. – YAY
Now here is a little twist on the choice I made during my rounds. I was OK loading for the very first time and all went well. But when I unfortunately let my emotions get in the way of my logical mind I became Load-phobic. I didnât want to have to deal with the increase numbers on the scale, though I knew they would be short lived. I also really disliked feeling too full. I canât stand being that uncomfortable.
I figured I would rather go through a couple of âhunger daysâ instead of loading.
But then I got educated beyond what Dr. Simeon explained. Even though the Dr. explained well sometimes you have to hear that one other person saying it a little differently.Because I already experienced first hand how the fat fast , for exampleI was taught that you can even load âcleanâ if that will help get past the phobia and help a person load instead of opting out.
(Check Out the Mac Nut Fat Fast I Love Doing for Faster Fat Releases)
As far as loading….Donât get me wrong, I still think if you are going to load if there are any foods you would like to get out of your system (cravings etc.) This is the time to do it!
HCG Clinics
Do I Need a HCG Clinic?
I have been asked many times,”Did you have a Doctorâs Supervision”?
My Answer:
I did not go to a Clinic or Doctor. The clinics that are doing the protocol seem to be quite pricy and many people that have asked me questions in the past that have gone to clinics tell me the clinics also want to sell them anything from appetite suppressants to meal replacements and supplements. I had a friend that went to a clinic before she knew that I had done HCG.
Not only were they selling her the meal replacements but no one at the clinic had done the protocol themselves. The Doctor was overweight and when she would ask simple questions that anyone who had read the original manuscript would know answers to they were clueless. But of course they were more than happy to take her money.
Iâm sure somewhere there has got to be a clinic that is above board. There is one in my town that another friend of mine helped create a testimonial video for. He said just listening to the patients stories made him a believer that the protocol really works. He said, âyou could just see the happiness in the patientsâ faces. They were so happy to have their life backâ.
The only thing I donât âgetâ is I was told that the doctor is obese.
Actually I think I do know why. I canât tell you how many times people say they are serious and what to change but they really arenât ready yet. They donât want the food choices narrowed down even if hunger wonât be a factor. Food is comfort for many people and they may want to keep that for now. It wonât be until they are not comfortable in their situation.
I had another friend that even though she would tell her husband he was eating unhealthy. He stubbornly kept the food habit he enjoyed. It wasnât till he went to the emergency room and was diagnosed with almost a complete blockage to his heart that he considered changing his ways. He was basically FORCED to change, it was either that or DIE.
Now letâs get back to what I did instead of going to a clinic;
My brother mentioned that maybe I should check out You Tube for info on a diet his girlfriend had done.
I watched all kinds of vlogs that HCGers had posted and they were stressing the fact that you have to read pounds & inches.
I ordered the HCG from  www.reliablerxpharmacy.com online and while I waited for it to arrive I read Dr Simeons
manuscript over and over.
Plus watched the vlogs and posted questions to the HCGers on youtube and other forums.
Please note that since there are some youtube videos that just want to capitalize on the âcrazeâ use your discretion. Watch the people that have been around a long time like the OGÂ mamaclok and other people (there are a lot of great ones) that are on the protocol and going about their lives. I think the âstagedâ videos uploaded by companies are a turn off.
I ordered the rest of the supplies I would need as a kit. The kit was more than if I had gotten the items on my own but after I had the one kit I knew exactly what I would need for future rounds and then bought my supplies through Amazon etc.
Please note: If you have a medical condition that you are being treated for only you know based on your situation if you should pursue this option.
HCG Side Effects ?
Is HCG a Risk or Danger?
First the two Main Questions I am continually asked about :
Question;
Is hair loss a side effect?
I experienced the opposite with HCG in regards to hair loss. Before I knew about HCG I did a long fast and the hair loss I began to experience got really scary. When I got on HCG the hair loss stopped. I figured it would be similar to when I was pregnant and I might need to be prepared for some loss once I was done with HCG.
I’m very happy to report that didn’t happen.
One more thing about the hair, someone in the past commented to me that she thought the loss may also depend on if menopause is also part of the mix. I’m not at that point in my life so I have no idea. But I have a friend that has never done HCG and part of her pre-menopausal symptoms was hair loss until she got on hormone therapy.
If I was limited to what supplements I could recommend and could only select three here and why. I prefer the Vitacost Hair,Skin & Nails Formula .
This vitamin slowed the loss I was having prior to starting HCG and then once I was on HCG any hair in the brush was minuscule. And I like to add extra Biotin , so that counts as my first two.
I look at that as my multivitamin selection.
What About Loose Skin?
I encourage anyone who is starting HCG to also take MSM
(preferably the MSM liquid form) this counts as my third supplement.
I wish I had taken it from day one. Because we release the fat rapidly on this protocol the MSM helps our skin tighten.
Besides the questions I have gotten I looked online to see what the websites that are âCONâ HCG were listing as risks.
Quite frankly many sites were just plain silly, or had not done their due diligence to understand the original research.
Even well known sites that also have T.V. shows were filled with a bunch of bunk.
Iâm sure they donât want to get on their sponsors bad side and have advertising money they receive to go âbye-byeâ
I would look at the âRisk Listâ and as I read each item said to myself, âI NEVER experienced that, or that one or that one, oh that one? That actually got better once I was on HCG â
Â
âComplicating Disorders (from page 26 of my copy of the manuscript)â
Dr Simeonâs addresses the disorders that might complicate his HCG treatment in pound & inches
Â
NOT because using HCG will cause the problem, on the contrary
Most of these disorders (not all) stem from obesity or unhealthy lifestyle.
Yet while doing his research found that the patients on the HCG protocol were not negatively effected even though they had the disorders listed below;
Diabetes, Rheumatism, Cholesterol, Blood Pressure, Peptic Ulcers, Psoriasis, Brittle finger nails, Hair loss, Varicose Ulcers, and Gout.
As you read the manuscript you will see that the treatment improved the patients situation with the disorder while the patient was going through the protocol.
Dr Simeon is SO DETAILED about each of the above disorders and explains why there is improvement or no adverse reaction etc. once on the HCG treatment. People predisposed to Gout was the one situation I read in Pounds & Inches
that something might be uncomfortable before it can get better. Dr Simeons explains it a lot better than I can.
When I read that section it reminded me of how when someone does a detox they might have some discomfort while the body is cleansing itself of the toxins.
Food Choices if Gout is a concern;
Some of the foods like asparagus for example that are on the protocol food list is a food that can alter the bodyâs blood uric acid level .So if you are prone to gout being an issue you should check over the food list and make your selections accordingly.
The Hormone Debate;
âHCG is Not a Sex Hormone
It cannot he sufficiently emphasized that HCG is not sex-hormone, that its action is
identical in men, women, children and in those cases in which the sex-glands no longer
function owing to old age or their surgical removal. The only sexual change it can bring
about after puberty is an improvement of a pre-existing deficiency. But never stimulation beyond the normal.. In an indirect way via the anterior pituitary, HCG regulates menstruation and facilitates conception, but it never virilizes a woman or feminizes a man. It neither makes men grow breasts nor does it interfere with their virility, though where this was deficient it may improve it. It never makes women grow a beard or develop a gruff voice. I have stressed this point only for the sake of my lay readers, because, it is our daily experience that when patients hear the word hormone they
immediately  jump to the conclusion that this must have something to do with the sexsphere.
They are not accustomed as we are, to think thyroid, insulin, cortisone, adrenalin
etc, as hormones.â
One last thing I want to mention is the types of so called HCG that are out there.
Since so many new “types” have sprung up recently my concern is the same as Dr Simeon had in Pounds and Inches. If you are doing the 500 VLCD and not taking HCG (the real deal) you will be starving yourself. I’m sure if you starve yourself there will be hair loss, weakness, abdominal distress, muscle loss etc.
Not having hunger isn’t the only thing real HCG is doing. Burning the abnormal fat for energy is what makes the protocol so wonderful and NOT a starvation diet.
Maintain Weight Loss After HCG
Understanding the Importance of Set Points
Many questions I get are about stabilizing and maintaining.
What these questions boil down to is, âhow do I not gain back the weightâ?
Looking at my post HCG journey the âstumbleâ I regret was ignoring the scale for too many days at a time. I was fitting in my jeans fine so I got too lax. Once I faced the music because I did start to notice that my jeans were fitting tighter it wasn’t that it was “too late” but I did make getting back on track more difficult for myself.
In a few of my blog posts I have mentioned that 2012 has had its share of life stresses.
During those times it is very easy to put discipline in the back seat and let emotions take the wheel. If I had simply mustard the courage to jump on the scale each morning my body could have settled right back into itâs comfy set point HCG got me to with only a couple of minor tweaks to get back on course.
Bottom line –
I think Dr. Simeon definitely got it Right.
If I had kept myself in check my body would have stayed in its new set point without a struggle.
This is my theory so bear with me here…
You figure the body has set points you have to push past when reducing.
These are the weight set points our body had settled into in the past at some time or another in our lives.
That is usually why we Plateau. Our body gets to that weight and says, âOh I remember this placeâ. And for a bit thinks it is where it should be.
So once at goal and the body is settled into its new weight set point. It is pretty happy there. Especially when you have established that set point by doing the protocol using the phase 3 breaks between rounds to âlock inâ the new set point. One, maybe two, ah heck even three little slips is no biggie as long as a person checks and sees the change on the scale and acts on that appropriately my making better choices to correct the âup fluxâ.
And because the body wants to be in the new and âhappy to be inâ set point it will respond by getting back in check.
But if you donât know there has been an increase because you didnât check the ânumbersâ and only relied on how clothes were fitting the weight could push toward an old set point. If you get to or past an âold set pointâ it can potentially open up the flood gates and cause difficulty in controlling the gain.
Your body might think it is time to settle into an old set point that it had been at before that we donât want any part of.
When I goofed by not weighing daily I can tell that my body didnât like the excess AT ALL. The extra wasnât noticeably showing but I could feel it and it did not feel good.
If I would have caught myself in time the way Dr Simeon designed it I wouldn’t be writing this post.
But Good news is this has been a very important lesson learned for me.
And because I experienced it first hand not only do I know how to avoid that mistake in the future but I can help you do the same!
HCG Pounds and Inches
HCG â Pounds & Inches Equals SUCCESS!!
Â
 âKnowledge is Powerâ
                                             -Sir Francis Bacon
A lot of people are gearing up to get started and I can not emphasize enough how important it is to read the original manuscript pounds & Inches before you start your HCG Journey.Even if you decided to go to a clinic and assume the Dr. at the clinic is all you need âAu Contraire!
Before I ever took my first dose I had watched numerous you tube videos to find out what other HCGers were experiencing and read many forums etc.
BUT âTHE MOST important was reading and re- reading the Pounds & Inches
manuscript.
Understanding Dr Simeonsâ research is vital to your success. Because it is so different than just a diet plan, knowing why it is different is a vital component.
Question:
Iâm thinking of getting started with HCG diet and to reclaim my life. For the past couple of days, I have been trying to read up as much as possible on HCG. I have seen quite a few vlogs on YouTube. I have also gone through your blog and must say that you are an inspiration to many. Could you please help me with few basic ques â I was wondering how many rounds would be required for losing about 70 pounds? Also, how do I space out these multiple rounds? I am 30 yrs and desperate to lose weight. I have tried everything short of bariatric and have done many other things in an attempt to get rid of my extra pounds. But every time I have been disappointed. I want to give HCG an honest attempt. Thanks in advance for all your help.
Answer:
Have you read Pounds & Inches?
I have a link to a free pdf copy on my blog. That is an absolute must before starting the protocol. Reading the manuscript will answer your questions about time between rounds, what kind of fat the protocol targets, and why it works so well. Once you get a foundation of the research and do your first round you will believe that success can be yours. Then after your first round you can decide if you will stay “POP” (perfect on Protocol) or use a variation. I did interruptions or what is also known as cycling. I chose this route because I am terrible about being patient with myself. So donât focus on that when you havenât even dipped your toe in the water with your first round yet.
I feel that doing your first round following the original plan is the only way to go if you truly want to succeed at this. I also want to add that I highly respect the HCGers that kept with the original proper phase 3 breaks.
To plan for rounds – I always ordered 3 vials at a time to save on shipping cost when I purchased HCG. I always did 40 day rounds and since I donât know if you want to do long or short rounds it is hard for me to say how many. But based on what you told me you have a lot going in your favor and I am excited for you! I thought I knew how much I wanted to lose and ended up losing far beyond my original goal and got where I never thought I could.
How to Store HCG
How to Store HCG Before and After Mixing
I Love when you ask questions instead of me only telling you what I did or know!
I think it helps everyone Ten fold when I am asked a question.Â
You see the question and answer which helps to put the information in perspective.Â
QUESTION:
How to Store Before and After Mixing     Â
I really, really appreciate your mixing instructions and they are so easy to follow. My only question is â with 5000 iu mixed for a 40 day round â do you fill the syringe daily as needed OR do you prefill 40 syringes and refrigerate? Am I correct in assuming that you only want to freeze it if you want it to last beyond the 40 days? I want to do it correctly and make sure that the last dose of hcg is as potent as the first dose.
What did you do?
Also, what is the best way to store the extra two vials of hcg until I need it for my second and third round? (I ordered 3 vials of 5000 iu from reliable).
ANSWER:
When doing a round I prefer to fill the syringe each day. The rest of the mixed HCG is stored in the mixing vial in the area of your refrigerator that will stay the most consistent in temperature. For Example; don’t put it in the door of your fridge since the temp will change because of people opening and closing the door.
The other 2 vials that remain unmixed until you are ready for another round.
I prefer to store in the refrigerator (though not mandatory).
Freezing is done when you need to save a batch that has already been mixed.
Really your best bet is once you mix HCG for a round Stay Committed and use what you mixed till it is gone and you have successfully completed your round.
BUT is life throws you some crazy curve and you just have to postpone your round and donât want what you mixed wasted the alternative is to freeze your mixed HCG
Another thing to note when freezing already mixed HCG.
Someone in the HCG Community that truly cares about people getting great results on protocol went as far as testing HCG to figure out potency strength after freezing so a person could measure accordingly prior to freezing the loaded syringes.
Channel name Delmen on youtube is a wonderful resource for recipes, how to get increased releases and to help you get overall good solid understanding about the protocol and why it works so well. Along with why different elements of the plan are so vital to your success.
Here is the low down so you can store successfully;
Frozen/Thawed Trial
HCG can potentially lose close to 40% of its potencyâ
Pre-measure syringes to freeze, leave an air pocket for expansion and freezes needles pointing upward.
If you use 125 IU fresh, would want to load syringes to 200 IU before freezing. (200 – 40% = 120 IU)
HCG – What is the Correct HCG Dose for Weight Loss?
HCG – What is the Right DOSE ?
HCG –Â Question of the Day
This is a really great question and there are different dose calculator.
Charts and Lists aside I have found it is all about
Finding the HCG dose âSweet Spotâ
QUESTION:
Iâm currently going to a âclinicâ and with your help â plan on ordering HCG from ReliableRXPharmacy and supplies from Amazon and doing this myself. Although Iâm having success at the âclinicâ (lost 10 lbs. the first week) â they really do push the appetite suppressants and other unnecessary products. Iâll have to continue to go until I get my HCG delivery â but with your guidance â I know that I can do this on my own and save ALOT of money.
My question is â do you change your dose based on your weight or how your hunger is? What dose did you start with and did you continue the same dosage throughout all of your phases? Also â did you inject 6 days and skip one as outlined in the original protocol? Iâm currently on 125 â five days a week â skip two â and feel kind of hungry.
ANSWER:
Congrats on such great results, you are doing awesome!
If you are just one week into it sometimes it takes at least that for the hcg to get at a good level. I remember my first week. I was concerned that I was going to be the one oddball that hcg wouldnât work the same on as the people I was watching on youtube. Then it was Friday late afternoon and I suddenly realized that I wasnât hungry and I had forgot to eat the P2 food I brought for lunch. I thought, âOh this is what they are talking aboutâ?
I did dose at about the same. I would fill to just past the â20 and not get to the â25âł. How is that for being scientific-LOL
One funny thing about the HCG dose.
Once you find your âsweet spotâ you can tell because hunger isnât an issue. But here is the tricky part. Till you find the âsweet spotâ if you donât dose enough that could cause hunger but if you dose too much that could cause hunger. So if you at anytime decide to adjust do it ever so slightly till âbingâ you find the spot! My dose amount stayed consistent pretty much, only backed off near the end but ever so slightly. During my rounds I would only skip a dose one day and of course when TOM arrived.
HCG – Achieving Your GOAL!
You Must Believe Before You Can Achieve!
I Must have read that on a Motivational Poster in the past
but you know, it is so very TRUE!
And was one of this Gentleman’s words to live by –
âAaron Learmanâs Words to Live Byâ
Well here we areâŠhow are you doing today???
Last month I set a Goal.
I decided I should make sure I made a post everyday starting in mid June .
Not that the info I have posted wasnât good, ShootâŠ. a lot of it got me thinking more about my on choices.
BUT at the same time had me feeling like I was âbrow beatingâ anyone that felt they could not follow such a strict do and do not list.
I certainly did not want anyone reading the post and then walk away feeling defeated.
I too look at the list and say âdid I mess up? Should I have been more careful? Can I even follow this list given my circumstances?â
This is what WE ALL have to take from the info, theory and facts we are given.
As long as we do all that we can do to be better today than we were yesterday THAT is progress!
I began my HCG journey January 17, 2010. I got well beyond my original goal by May 2010. I started out in the 180âs and once I felt I had âarrivedâ was in the mid 120âs.
I created good new Solid âset pointsâ and enjoyed the new ME from May 2010 through all of 2011.
Here we are in 2012.
For me â LOTS of change and loss â no not weight lossâŠloved one loss etc..
What I lived and knew as the norm wasnât anymore.
You know what the experts say about stress and weight, certainly NOT a good a combo!
So here I am âŠI had all kinds of wonderful hopes for my up and coming Birthday, but you know what??? Our personal positive outcome is not based on one day or one choice.
It is a conscientious decision to make a difference, change for the betterâŠ.NO MATTER WHAT!
That is where I am while I write thisâŠPlease take this as not just a âpep talkâ for me but hopefully a true to REAL life pep talk to anyone reading this!
I donât care what diet, food plan, habit you want to conquer is WE ALL need to understand â YOU simply can not give up!!!
You CAN Do IT â I donât care how many times you think you have failed.
Whatever the issues, life challenges, health challenges, or obstacles you think get between YOU and the GOAL you want to achieve areâŠYOU are the ONE that CanâŠand WillâŠWIN!!!!
